British Foundation for UWI Launched

September 29, 2009:  The British Foundation for The University of the West Indies (BFUWI) was launched last Friday (25-9-09) at the Commonwealth Club, London, England, by The University of the West Indies (UWI) and The University of the West Indies  Alumni Association (UWIAA) UK Chapter.

2010: The UK Coordinator, Mrs. Karen Carter organized activities to raise awareness and encourage contributions. The inaugural Caribbean Cacophony was successfully held.

2011: Following a visit by the chairman of the BFUWI, the Vice Chancellor Professor E. Nigel Harris, two groups of supporters were established: the UWIAA UK BFUWI Support Group and the Friends of BFUWI Group
